I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
